The conditions and number of invites to the 2025 Pokémon World Championships for「Malaysia」in the 2024-25 Pokémon Asia Championship Series Video Game division have been officially announced.

2025 Pokémon World Championships Video Game Division Invitation Numbers

The number of 2025 Pokémon World Championships invites for Malaysia in the Video Game division has been increased by 4 extra spots since the previous year, for a new total of 12 spots!

The number of 2025 Pokémon World Championships invites for Malaysia in the Video Game division has been increased by 4 extra spots since the previous year, for a new total of 12 spots!

Conditions for 2025 Pokémon World Championships Invites

The top 12 placing players in the 2024-25 Pokémon Asia Championship Series Master Ball League Video Game division will receive invites.
Among them, the top 2 players will also receive a Travel Award along with their invite.

The 2024-25 Pokémon Asia Championship Series Master Ball League does not have separate age categories – instead, all age categories will be competing together.
The 2025 Pokémon World Championships Video Game, on the other hand, will have separate age categories. Players who qualify will receive invites matching their age category.

For example, if in the 2024-25 Pokémon Asia Championship Series Master Ball League a 20-year old player took 1st place, a 14-year old took 2nd place, and an 8-year old took 3rd place, the 1st place player would get a 2025 Pokémon World Championships invite in the Masters category, the 2nd place player an invite in the Senior category, and the 3rd place player an invite in the Junior category.

Players who earn a Travel Award will have their flight and accommodation for the 2025 Pokémon World Championships paid for by The Pokémon Company. Additional details on Travel Awards will be sent to qualifying players.

How to participate in the Master Ball League

Anyone can apply to participate in the 2024-25 Pokémon Asia Championship Series Master Ball League. Players will then need to be selected by lottery in order to participate.

For players with a Master Ball League invite

Players who have received a 2024-25 Pokémon Asia Championship Series Master Ball League Invite with Bye through their 2024-25 Pokémon Asia Championship Series Premier Ball League performance do not need to apply nor go through the lottery in order to attend the Master Ball League.

※ They will, however, need to register a battle team like other selected participants.
※ Once the players qualifying for a Master Ball League invite and/or Bye have been confirmed, they will receive a notification email at the address they registered to attend the Premier Ball League.
